The Roughrider softball team dropped three games on Saturday to conclude the Southern Nevada Kickoff Classic with a 2-4 record. YC is now 6-4 on the young season.

Saturday morning, the Roughrider offense woke up a little late after falling behind 7-0 in the fourth inning. Yavapai put two on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning and added four more in the sixth to cut the deficit to 1, however, YC failed to score in the seventh inning.

Alexis Garayzar was 2 for 4 with a home run and
Alexus Garza was 1 for 4 with a home run.

The offense slept through the next game scoring a lone run in the sixth inning.
Megan Parsley was 2 for 4 and
Sanoe Helenihi knocked a home run.

In the final game of the day, the Roughriders held a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning but gave up two runs in the fifth inning for the loss.

Sanoe Helenihi was 1 for 1 with a run scored.

Yavapai begins conference play on Tuesday, February 4
th in Tucson against fellow conference foe Pima Community College. The twinbill begins at 1:00 PM. The home opener for the Roughriders is on Tuesday, February 11
th as they host the Thunderbirds from Mesa Community College. The first pitch will be thrown at 12;00 PM.
