Yavapai College scored 2 second half goals in a 2-0 road victory in Yuma over Arizona Western College Thursday night. The Roughriders improve to 13-3-0 overall and 6-2-0 in the conference standings. The Matadors fall to 10-4-2 on the season and 5-2-1 in the ACCAC. Yavapai's all time record against Arizona Western improved to 53-7-2.

Sophomore Logan Rabasca played all 90 minutes in goal to record the third consecutive clean sheet and 9th shutout on the season.
 
Yavapai continues conference play on Saturday, October 19th entertaining the defending NJCAA Division I National Champions, Pima Community College, in the 1st Annual Yavapai College Homecoming weekend. The match will be played at Ken Lindley Field in Prescott beginning at 3:00 PM.
 
With tonight's victory, the all-time leader in JUCO wins, Yavapai College Head Soccer Coach Mike Pantalione, now has 634 wins. Exactly 100 more victories than retired Ulster Community College (NY) coach George Vizvary (534).
